Bob Coomber is a Kingman Park resident and dad who regularly visits the Islands with his 4 boys.  He previously served as an ANC 7D01 commissioner.  

Tim Dube has lived in ANC 6B since May 2010, with his wife and son. During the weekdays, he is a public servant at the US Department of Health and Human Services working to improve access to affordable health coverage. On weeknights and weekends, he runs Capitol Hill Outfitters, a camping and hiking gear rental and trip planning business. He has spent countless hours exploring the many wonderful green spaces along the Anacostia, including Kingman and Heritage Islands, since calling DC home.  

Brandon Frazier has over 14 years of experience as a communications professional for government agencies, associations and non-profit groups both domestically and abroad, providing recommendations related to media relations, outreach, engagement, branding, public affairs and programmatic support.  A Ward 7 resident of River Terrace, his professional career began in New York City with ABC News and includes roles with The International Fund for Animal Welfare and Student Conservation Association.

Malissa Freese has been a resident of DC for 20 years and a River Terrace resident for 12. She is the president of the River Terrace Community Organization (RTCO) and her previous community service includes being Chair of the RTCO Editorial and Economic Development Committees as well as being a River Terrace Block Captain. Dedicated to her community, she’s also been a volunteer at both SOME and Capital Food Bank.

Meredith Holmgren With fifteen years of non-profit sector experience and a passion for serving our community, she is excited to have an opportunity to contribute to the founding of this group. The unique ecosystems of Kingman and Heritage Islands, as well as the Anacostia River, contribute to the health and vitality of residents, plants, and animals. As president of Friends of Kingman Park, she worked to connect the community with numerous environmental stakeholders and was the first to involve the Anacostia Watershed Society and the Anacostia Riverkeeper in official activities of the organization.

Lora Nunn was born in DC and has been a resident of Kingman Park since 2012.  She has been active in a variety of community endeavors around the city including co-founding the arts group, Solas Nua.  She has 3 children and they are a big part of her dedication to the community—they often attend meetings and volunteer right along side her. Lora supports the continued access and protection of the amazing resource of Kingman and Heritage Islands.

Conor Marshall has been hiking, birdwatching, and fishing on the islands for the last four years, and especially appreciates the islands as a peaceful, natural oasis in our highly-developed city. He is a current member of the DC Audubon Society’s Conservation and Advocacy Committee, where he monitors how current and upcoming land-use development proposals affect habitat and open-space in the Anacostia Watershed. Working in policy and advocacy communications for American Bird Conservancy, environmental stewardship is woven into Conor’s personal and professional interests. He lives in the Kingman Park neighborhood with his wife Mary, and previously served six years on the Arlington County (Virginia) Park and Recreation Commission.

Courtney Sullivan is a Kingman Park resident and Anacostia Watershed steward who believes Kingman and Heritage Islands are an important resource for the community.

Mandie Yanasak Worsley has been a DC resident of Wards 5 and 6 for the last 12 years.  She feels deeply connected to the community and treasures Kingman Island as a green island in the center of the city. Passionate about getting families outside, including her own, Mandie  spends her working hours building relationships with park systems and private greenspaces across the country as the Manager of Parks and Greenspaces for Tinkergarten, an early childhood education company.
